Abstract:
Objective: This study proposes to identify the anatomical variations in Foramen Spinosum in human with High Resolution - CT Scans.
Methods: 200 sides of 100 High Resolution - CT images were obtained in which 67 are from the Male patients and 33 are from the Female patients of different age varying 21 to 65 years.
Results: This study not only helps the anatomist, but also the neurosurgeons in the performance of the skull base micro vascular surgery. Knowledge acquired may improve the identification & preservation of the neurovascular structure during the surgical approach of the middle cranial fossa.
